You know you’re in Hawaii when you see banana trees in places where an oak or maple would be on the Mainland! This is especially true on Lana’i, where banana trees are scattered throughout the the town. This one in particular intrigued me, as it’s nestled behind a vintage plantation-era building. The afternoon light glinting off the leaves is what first drew me to this scene, and the shop in the front of the building was called ‘Highlights’.
